Dear Tennis Player,
Thank you for finding your way to my website.
I am Stephen Lang, a lifelong Memphian, with 30 years + tennis teaching experience along with an extensive competitive playing and coaching background. I welcome the opportunity to teach you and players of all levels ( complete beginner to advanced and competitive), adults, juniors and senior players.
I would be honored to help in any way to develop and improve your overall tennis game, move you closer to reaching your potential and goals, as well as, adding to your enjoyment and fulfillment playing the sport of tennis. Tennis has meant so much to me and given me so much. To share my knowledge, experience and appreciation for the sport with you is both rewarding and satisfying.
In addition, as founder and Executive Director of (2) nonprofits Tennis Memphis, Inc and Tennis Association for Memphis Youth (TAMY), I have expertise in tennis center management/ operations, program development, NJTL and USTA programs, fundraising/grants, starting and running a non profit. I’m available to consult and lend a hand to your team.
I look forward to all of it!
Stephen
Tennis Memphis was founded in 2001 by Stephen Lang, who served as its
Executive Director for over 20 years. During his time at Tennis Memphis,
Stephen was dedicated to its mission and committed to advocacy, minority
participation, junior development, quality programming and growth of the sport
across our community. Under his leadership, Tennis Memphis was able to
partner with the City of Memphis to improve indoor and outdoor tennis courts
throughout the metro area, making tennis accessible to players of all ages
regardless of socioeconomic status. Tennis Memphis and Mr. Lang have also
increased community presence and awareness through partnerships with the
USTA and local foundations. Countless youth have been positively impacted
through our NJTL summer camps and free programming for after-school tennis
and tutoring. More information can be found in this document created in 2021.
